Volunteer

Adventure Film is a community and a family. It is a fire that creates, and it needs your help to keep burning bright. From the main film festivals to the workshops and all the special events in between there are many opportunities to be involved and to support the artists, activists, non-profits and good people who make it all happen. If you are willing to jump in, get your hands dirty, work hard, be a great problem solver, and commit yourself to a three-day weekend of rubbing shoulders with filmmakers, athletes, environmentalists, activists, writers, artists, and other extraordinary people then you can become an official Adventure Film Festival Volunteer! Of course, there are exciting benefits such as being among the first audiences to see world premieres of the best new independent films. But the real benefits of volunteering aren’t things, or even films–they’re the experiences. If you’re ready for a one-of-a-kind experience, join our team!

We look forward to hearing from you!

What would you like to do?!

Volunteer positions are available in the following departments:

PROMOTIONS:
Our promotional team handles getting the word out and sharing all of the exciting things that will be happening during the festival. Putting up flyers, banners, posters, and most importantly talking to people about the upcoming festival. An energetic self starter with a positive attitude and outgoing personality does very well in this role.

FIELD CREW:
Our Field Crew is responsible for setting up and breaking down all aspects of the festival. You may be asked to load and unload gear and supplies, haul equipment in and out of theaters, unload boxes, climb ladders, set up tables and chairs, and more. Strength, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work in all types of weather are required.

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Special Events volunteers help with all of the festival events throughout the weekend. We have three venues in operation: The Boulder Theater, Adventure Film Street Fair (14th St.), and Adventure Filmmakers Workshop. You will be assigned to select theaters for your shifts. Your duties will include greeting people with a smile, collecting tickets, assisting sponsors, and answering questions. Special Events volunteers are energetic, positive, and outgoing!
