SELECTION COMMITTEE
The films you see at Adventure Film are selected by a dedicated,international selection committee based in Boulder, Colorado.  Eachyear, Adventure Film receives hundreds of submissions from around theworld.  The committee scores these films based on a refined set ofguidelines, from production quality, to originality, to spirit ofadventure.  The judges choose films that will add to the diversity ofthe program in our home show, as well as the national and internationaltour, awarding the productions that best exemplify the values of thisfestival.  We are especially grateful to the film selection committeemembers who volunteer their time to bring us most adventurous andinspirational films of the year, and to the filmmakers who sacrificetheir blood, sweat and tears to create them.

Jonny Copp, Spirit AdvisorBACK TO TOP

Jonny Copp, born in Singapore in '74, has had his passport stolen by a monkey in India, been stuck in a crevasse for four days in the Himalaya, been given a test run with a machine-gun in Pakistan, been robbed in Reno, and has starved in Patagonia. He is known for his climbing, photography, writing and high level alpinism. He has made cutting edge first ascents of some of the steepest walls and mountains worldwide. Jonny's photography, writing and film footage has been used in magazines, books and movies. He is the Founder and Director of Adventure Film.

Mick Follari, CoordinatorBACK TO TOP

Mick is an alpinist and climber, teacher, photographer/writer, musician, programmer and home builder; he can't decide. He first heard about the film fest in the Himalaya the morning the idea was conceived, then it was birthed in his basement the following year by his old friend, campmate and roommate Jonny. Escape was never an option...
